The lovely clean beach just 800m away
The location is situated at Spring Beach Youth and Convention Centre, 135 Happy Valley Road, Spring Beach, Orford, Tasmania AUSTRALIA (on the East Coast of Tasmania). The camp is 1 hour drive from Hobart or 2 1/2 hour drive from Launceston. Spring Beach Youth and Convention Centre offers comfortable accommodation with generally 5 to 8 people per room, with the total capacity for 108 guests, therefore depending on student numbers, there will only be approximately 4 guests per room providing plenty of room. Guests need to bring doona, sleeping bag or blankets, pillow and towel. Other facilities include a recreation hall, large grassed recreational areas, table tennis, eight ball and t/v room and an 800 metre walk to the prestine beach! .Meals: All meals are high quality and are included in the cost of the camp. Breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as morning & afternoon tea are provided each day. Vegetarians and people with other special dietary requirements can be catered for, but you must advise us when you make your booking.
Recreation & accommodation area
Other optional activities include: bushwalking, swimming, fishing & other water activities at local beach, ball games and campfire cooking.
The training camp basic schedule is as follows: Fitness training with drills & skills before breakfast for those wishing to do so. Shil Lim Tao or forms on the beach may also be an attractive alternative. Formal Wing Chun training with Grandmaster Cheung starts after breakfast with a mid morning break, then continues until lunch (12 to 1pm), resuming after lunch the primary focus is Dim Mak, CMT and other specialist training until 4pm. This is the first time the summer camp has been held outside of Melbourne and therefore we are exceptionally fortunate for Grandmaster to have chosen Tasmania for the venue! This is possibly the only time such a camp will be conducted by Grandmaster Cheung here so book your position now as places are limited.
